ACTONE26 / PRIVACY
Your work.
Handled with care.
ActONE26 helps actors rehearse scripts. Where scripts and recordings are stored depends on the storage you choose. Local and iCloud rehearsal do not require a Microsoft sign-in.
1. Scripts, audio, and rehearsal information
The app imports script text and identifies dialogue and characters. During rehearsal, it can process microphone audio and recognized speech to follow the script. Recording a scene can save audio, script text, recognized speech, actor names or email addresses, character roles, rehearsal dates, and delivery feedback.
Feedback describes measurements such as speaking pace, vocal variation, volume, and pauses. It is coaching guidance, not a verified assessment of acting ability.
2. Microphone, speech, and on-device models
ActONE26 requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions before listening. It prefers on-device English speech recognition when available. Enabling “Allow Apple online recognition” allows audio to be processed by Apple if needed, under Apple’s applicable privacy practices and terms.
Optional meaning matching uses Apple’s on-device model on supported Apple Intelligence devices. System speech synthesis supplies reading voices. You can revoke microphone and speech-recognition access in your device’s privacy settings.
3. Where your library is stored
- Local storage: the library is stored in the app’s documents on the current device.
- iCloud Drive: files are read and written in a folder you choose. Apple manages syncing, account access, and provider retention.
- SharePoint: Microsoft sign-in authorizes access to the configured organization site. Scripts, recordings, and feedback are read or written using the signed-in account’s permissions. Microsoft handles authentication and SharePoint service processing.
Microsoft’s authentication library manages sign-in credentials with the system keychain and may exchange account, authentication, and technical service information with Microsoft. ActONE26 does not create a separate app-service account.
4. Human partner recordings and shared access
In Human partner mode, a full scene recording and separate feedback may be saved in each actor’s folder. Actor names or email addresses identify those folders. An actor folder name does not create a private access boundary: anyone with access through the selected storage location may be able to open its files.
Make sure both actors agree to recording and the selected storage access before starting. Share only scripts and other material you have permission to use.
5. Preferences and folder access
The app stores preferences, the selected storage option, an actor profile, and folder-access bookmarks on the device. These support reopening your library and remembering your choices. Changing storage switches the active library; it does not move or delete existing libraries.
6. Retention, recovery copies, and deletion
ActONE26 retains recovery files on the recording device, including pending saves. A successful cloud save does not automatically remove the device recovery copy. Signing out or changing storage does not delete saved files.
You can manage iCloud Drive and SharePoint files with the provider’s tools and your permissions. Deleting the app does not delete those cloud files. Cloud backup, trash, and version retention follow your provider’s or organization’s policies.
The current app does not have a per-take deletion control for local recovery files. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app removes device app-container data; offloading preserves it. On Mac, app-container data can remain after the app is removed. Contact support@solman.us for help locating local data. Support cannot remotely erase files from your device or storage account.
7. Advertising, diagnostics, and third parties
The current app has no advertising or third-party advertising analytics integration. It relies on Apple services and Microsoft authentication/SharePoint for the features described above. These providers can process service and diagnostic information according to their own privacy practices. Device-level analytics settings may also affect information handled by Apple.
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to answer your request or investigate the issue. Avoid including passwords, private scripts, or recordings unless needed and agreed. Support correspondence may be retained as needed to handle the request; contact us about removal.
